Testing Made Easy Buffers, Calibration Solutions, Refilling Solutions and Cleaning Solutions are of exceptional quality, stability and repeatability The range is manufactured to a high specification so you are assured of a perfect and extremely reliable solution. Contrary to belief, standard calibration solutions and buffer solution is not specific to the meter or electrode. Our standard calibration solutions and buffer solution will work on every make and model of instrumentation. If you would like to order buffers or calibration solutions with your company name, logo and details on, please contact a member of the team who will be happy to take you through the available options. Rea Chem© is a cost effective yet highly accurate range of solutions, that will look after all you calibration, storage and cleaning requirements. Eutech solutions offer NIST traceability, so where high accuracy and traceability are required these are the solutions of choice. We are so confident in the quality of our solutions, if your not 100% happy, you can return it for a full refund. A calibration is carried out on a meter to ensure continuity of readings and in actual fact you are not calibrating the meter you are compensating the meter for wear and tear on its electrode or a differently manufactured electrode! In logical terms, there are so many meters available in the market, it would be impossible for manufacturers to make probes and electrodes that were 100% compatible with every model, so instead they mass produce broad spectrum items that will nearly match every meter. Likewise as an electrode or probe is used, it picks up wear and tear and contamination, particularly in high pH applications, they can become worn. These things will all have a detrimental effect on the readings you get. Therefore regular calibration is essential to maintain accurate and stable readings and to ensure the meter is matched to the current characteristics of the electrode or probe. Depending on the amount of use your meter gets, you should ideally aim to calibrate your conductivity (EC), total dissolved solids (TDS) and salinity (NaCI) meter at least every 2 weeks. Your pH meter should ideally be calibrated weekly if you are using it on a regular basis. For best results you should always calibrate your meter over a complete range, if your meter allows for multi point calibration. So for instance with regard to pH use a pH buffer 4, 7 & 10. Failing this you should always calibrate your meter to a solution close to the measuring range, so if for example you are taking regular readings of say pH 10.5, then you should calibrate to a pH10 buffer solution. In addition to standard calibration, you should also ensure your electrodes and probes are kept clean and residue free by using the Rea-Chem© electrode cleaning solution on a monthly basis. This will ensure you electrodes and probes are also performing to their maximum ability. We also supply a pH electrode refilling solution, for use with all refillable pH probes and electrodes.
