Test strips are ideal for testing many of the key parameters required to know that your water is in good health or that your sanitising is efficient.
Gaining massive popularity over the years as they have improved dramatically in quality and accuracy, they are now a key tool for many users. Test strips offer an easy to use, cost effective alternative to chemical testing and instruments, which may not always be that practical to carry out or as a screening process before deciding if a chemical or electronic test is required. Because strips contain no hazardous chemicals and are not electronic, they require no specific training, only the ability to interpret a color against a chart, which makes them ideal for non technically trained people. Test strips are designed to be easy, accurate and cost effective. In contrast to Pooltesters and Comparators, test strips do not work with separately added reagents (tablets) but through the chemicals already applied on the strips themselves. As a rule these are pads which have been soaked in chemicals which color themselves upon contact with the water being measured. The resulting color is then compared with the scale provided on the label. Testing Made Easy currently supply 2 types of test strips.
EASY-DIP™ Test Strips Distinguishing Features The EASY-DIP™ Test Strips are packed ten each in foil packs which guarantee that even the last strip can be used (see shelf-life). In addition, the graphic “3 step” Instructions for Use on the label make the product easy to use. Shelf-life Until now, the problem with using test strips has been that the bottle provided insufficient protection and the dry pouch placed inside could only guarantee at most 18 months of use. Add to this that one could assume the remaining strips would start losing their effectiveness after the bottle was opened because of the infiltration of humidity. The EASY-DIP™ Test Strips are packaged 10 each in foil packs. In each bottle, there are 5 foil packs, which is 50 Strips. This protection guarantees a 3 year shelf-life from the date of manufacture, thus ensuring use to the last Strip.
